A Cheltenham company delivering bespoke projects.

Nathan Jones Carpentry is a Cheltenham-based company delivering high-end bespoke projects. Our work covers three connected disciplines: prestige refurbishments, bespoke cabinetry and signature commissions — the one-off architectural pieces that don't fit a category.

Because the same team surveys, makes, fits and finishes, a project reads as one piece of work rather than several trades arriving in sequence and hoping the junction works.

Most of our clients are homeowners in Cheltenham, the Cotswolds and across Gloucestershire, refurbishing a period property or commissioning fitted furniture for a room they use every day. We also work alongside interior designers, architects and estate managers, either taking on a whole package or making precisely to someone else's drawings.

Projects range from a single alcove of shelving to a complete house refurbishment, and each one is treated with the same care over junctions, reveals and final finish.

The company is built around a close-knit team of carpenters, joiners and specialist trades, supported by makers and suppliers we have worked with for years. We take on a limited number of projects each year so that each one gets that team's full attention, rather than being passed between contractors.

Cabinetry and architectural joinery are made to our drawings in solid timber with traditional joints, and installation is carried out by the same team that made them.

Every project begins with a conversation on site — measuring, listening and agreeing the scope before anything is quoted. Drawings, material samples and finishes are agreed in advance, the programme is set out in writing, and you deal with one point of contact from the first visit through to handover.

Sites are left clean and tidy at the end of every week, which matters more than it sounds when you're living in the house while the work happens.
