The Work
A refurbishment is only as good as the detail holding it together. We take on a limited number of building and interior projects each year, so the team that sets out the structure is the same one resolving the reveals, the architraves and the final finish.
Most of our refurbishment work is in period Cotswold houses, where very little is square and every opening has a history. We survey carefully, work with what is already there, and bring in electricians, plasterers and specialist trades who understand old buildings. Where a room is new — an extension, an orangery or a garden room — we match the detail back to the original house so the join is hard to find.
The programme is agreed before we start and kept to: first fix, plaster, second fix, finishing. You deal with one point of contact from the first conversation to handover, and the site is left tidy at the end of every week.

Which areas do you cover for refurbishment work?
Cheltenham and the surrounding Cotswolds, including Prestbury, Charlton Kings, Winchcombe, Painswick and the villages between. We also work across Gloucestershire and into Worcestershire and Oxfordshire where the project calls for it.
Do you manage the whole project or just the joinery?
We run the refurbishment package from first fix to final finish. That covers the structure and the joinery, with electricians, plasterers and specialist trades brought in under one programme and one point of contact.
Can you work on listed or period properties?
Most of our refurbishments are in period Cotswold houses. We survey carefully, work with what is already there rather than squaring it off, and match new detail back to the original house so the join is hard to find.
How is a refurbishment costed?
We visit, measure and talk through scope, budget and programme before anything is quoted. You receive a clear cost for the agreed scope, and variations are discussed with you before they are carried out.
